The opening of the new Penrose Country club ushers into Reidsville a new era in the social life of this community.

The building of the country club and the development of beautiful Pennrose Park has been fostered and financed by those who have already had the welfare and advancement of this community at heart, and the culmination of their efforts have been reached by giving to Reidsville a country club building unsurpassed in beauty and furnishings anywhere in the state.

In connection with the new club building will be opened a nine hole Donald J. Ross Golf Course. This course is considered one of the most difficult courses in this section and will furnish much pleasant recreation for those who are lovers of this sport.

Much careful time and attention has been devoted to the building of this course, and a large sum of money has been expended towards the planting and cultivation of faraways, which are now ready for play.

Pennrose Park, with its paved streets, its beautiful drives, and desirable home sites, offers the home owner a chance for building in an already fast growing county, embodying every modern convenience, and at the same time giving that quiet wholesome atmosphere so desirable and beneficial to home life.

In the past few years there has been no town in the state that has enjoyed the financial growth that we have, and in keeping with the industrial advancement the social life has kept pace.

After investigating the many advantages of Reidsville the outside public is at once enthused and very much interested in our growth, and it is with a feeling of pride that we, as residents and citizens, can truthfully boast of our achievements.
